Exceptional tempura experience !

This is like a special chef table tempura restaurant. Tempura will be cooked and served to you fresh piece by piece. I enjoyed the high quality tempura prepared, cooked, and served right in front of you piece by piece. Location is right in the center of Ginza but I believe they also have other branches in Tokyo.

Tempura can be enjoyed in Omakase. The taste is good, but the feeling that the price is a bit excessive is inevitable.

Food was fine but nothing incredible. Agree with others that it’s overpriced for what it was. Feels like half the bill is for the ambiance not the food.

There are Ten ichis all over Japan but only the honten in Ginza will give you the quality you expect at this price point.

Expensive, but as ever with Japanese cuisine it's the whole experience and sublime service - must go for the tempura to sit and watch the chef work his art in front of you.

This restaurant is high in quality and high in service. The experience depends on your expectations. We stumbled into this restaurant while walking on the Ginza street. Everything was so exceptionally done. The cook decided the pace of the food being served. New concept for me. I think if I would go to this restaurant again, I could mentally prepare for the high quality and the experience would be worthwhile and better.

Excellent spot for tempura. Very upscale with excellent service. Expensive, but worth the price for the atmosphere and flavor.

Traditional restaurant with fabulous service and delicious tempura. The set menus are priced for special occasions but it's worth it. Everything is level so provided warning is given with the reservation, wheelchair access is possible (albeit likely not for the washroom).

Best tempura I have ever had.

Delicious tempura using high quality ingredients but it is not worth the price. We had delicious tempura several times while in Japan and were not impressed with this place. Perhaps it was an off night but the chef had to change our papers several times throughout the night as the access oil was leaving huge grease spots. It was definitely an experience but at this price point you expect more.

Tempura with tradition.

This restaurant is all about tempura. It's one of the best tempura place I have ever tried. Fresh ingredient, cook at the right time, make perfect tasty, juicy tempura. The uni tempura is heaven!!!

Tempura of Ten-ichi is incredible delicious. Once you take seat in front of the deep fat fryer and the Master, you know what is professional. I have ordered scallops, prawn, mushroom, flathead, & some vegetables tempura. It's the tempura restaurant where I most like so far.Although the price is relatively higher, it's deserved. I must go again whenever I visit Ginza.

Wonderful dining experience where you can see chefs cooking the tempura. They put large bibs on everyone. All of the tempera courses were delicious and fresh --- excellent fish and vegetables.

Delicious tempura with very fresh vegetables. There isn’t a ton of vegetarian stuff but we ordered one of each thing per person and we’re perfectly satisfied!

Sublime! This is the best tempura in town, bar none. An elegant space in an elegant part of town; really serious looking chef who makes the most scrumptious things! I am allergic to seafood but they were able to accommodate my need to have a seafood-free omakase, while the rest of our party took full advantage of the set course. Every one of us was delighted!

Great technique of cooking tempura, Hana course. The batter is crispy, not too oily and perfectly cooked ingredients.Price on the high side for Hana course and okay for Tendon course

Good experience, tempura was cooked fresh in front of you. All the ingredients were super fresh, loved the food. However it was a bit on the pricier side.

High end tempura place where you can easily spend 25,000 yen per person total. Service was great and the experience sitting by the chef frying the course set menu was entertaining. I would say visit here once to get the tempura experience but not sure that I will be a repeat customer. We had tempura fried shrimp, oysters, crab, sea urchin, some kind of fish fillet, asparagus, onion, shrimp cake, eel, mushroom, scallops etc. Very plentiful course (17k odd yen for the course menu) and naturally some wine and beers. All tasted fairly good although I am not too much of a fan of sea urchin and I thought the oysters could have been better. All in all nice high end dining experience.

Good tempura prawns and shrimps. Friendly chef. Good atmosphere. Oysters, unfortunately, were out of season, we were told. Roderer champagne was available, which was very welcome.

This is a high end dining for tempura restaurant. They offer tempura courses. Lunch is at ¥9180+ and dinner at ¥11,880. The chef will fry the seafood and vegetable one by one for you to enjoy. The speed will depend on how fast you eat. The course include prawns, fish, eel, mushroom stuffed with shrimps, ginkgo, asparagus, etc. Fruits are served after the tempura course at the sitting area, away from the dining area.

Very traditional tempura restaurant with many private rooms some with own chef cooking in middle others for large tour groups. Lunch menu from yen 14k to 17k. Prawns, scallops, eel, fish, uni wrapped in seaweed, squid, veg, salad, rice, miso soup and fresh fruits. Batter not as fine but tasty and crunchy. Oil also not as fresh compared to other high end tempura restaurants. Servings perhaps too fast esp since room not full.Overall good tempura meal but expensive since in Ginza.
